Challenges:
Dittmar Realty manages 30-40 rental properties and realty companies and each entity is set up as a separate company. They needed a system that would eliminate manual tracking of general ledger entries and billing splits among the companies. The outdated, DOS software they were using was inefficient and led to inaccuracies.
Solution:
Around 2003, Dittmar migrated from Real World to Microsoft Dynamics GP, which was a perfect fit with ACS property management software, as it automatically works together. Microsoft Dynamics GP is robust enough to handle the 30-40 different companies that Dittmar manages in Dynamics GP.
The property management software automatically pushes general ledger entries and updates bank recs into all of Dittmar’s 35 Dynamics GP databases. The Microsoft Dynamics GP Bank Reconciliation module allows for accurate and timely bank reconciliation. Additionally, the use of Microsoft Dynamics GP Intercompany allows Dittmar Realty to split bills easily among their many companies.
