Needs:
- Separate accounting for subsidiary company
- Integrate time clock data to accounting/payroll system
Challenges:
As a seasonal company with over 1,000 employees in a given year, Johnson School Bus and Specialized Transport needed a solution to keep up with their accounting and payroll needs. They operate a subsidiary company and need to be able to handle the accounting for this separately. They were using an outdated DOS system, Real World, that required manual data entry of payroll information from 7 different locations.
Solution:
Migrating from Real World to Microsoft Dynamics GP in 2001 allowed for flexibility which Johnson School Bus never experienced before. Dynamics GP is very easy to use when switching between companies. The basic payables and receivables modules with in Microsoft Dynamics GP allows for easy troubleshooting by Johnson School Bus.
Johnson School Bus implemented Microsoft Dynamics GP’s Integration Manager in 2006 which allows them to take information directly from their time clock system and push it to Dynamics GP. This eliminated hand data entry and improved accuracy.
Impact:
- Improved accuracy due to reduction of manual data entry
- Streamlined processes
